We are looking for an ambitious and talented Sous Chef to join our kitchen brigade.  Working alongside Michael Caines MBE and Head Chef Jordan Denning, this is a fantastic opportunity for a passionate and committed hospitality professional, who has a real drive to deliver outstanding food using the finest ingredients in a unique and luxurious environment to join our team.

What you’ll be doing

 

  • Working alongside Michael Caines MBE and the Head Chef to create and develop exciting quality seasonal menus using local and regional produce 
  • Will fill in for the Head Chef in planning and directing food preparation when necessary 
  • Ensure that the quality and quantity standards are consistently adhered to in all sections whilst achieving agreed targets of profit, revenue and customer satisfaction
  • Be confident in managing, training and passing on your knowledge to the more junior members of the team
  • To be fully aware of the Company’s Food Policy and Food Handlers responsibilities in line with legislation and contractual obligations

 

Who we’re looking for

 

  • Has an excellent record of kitchen and staff management with good communication skills
  • A passion for the hospitality industry and for the role you are performing
  • Previous experience in a Michelin starred environment and to remain calm and composed under pressure
  • Strong desire to learn and always push yourself to develop as a chef
  • Always presented to the highest standards

-          Situated in the heart of Devon, Lympstone Manor sits between Exeter and Exmouth and overlooks the Exe Estuary. Our address is Lympstone Manor, Courtlands Lane, Exmouth, EX8 3NZ.

 

Can I get to Lympstone Manor via public transport?

-          You can take the coastal train from Exeter St. Davids or Exeter Central train stations, take the Exmouth train and exit at Lympstone village. It is a 15 minute walk to Lympstone Manor from the train station.

 

Do I need the right to work in the UK?

-          In line with the requirements of the Asylum and Immigration Act 1996, all applicants must be eligible to live and work in the UK. As part of the recruitment process, you will be asked to provide documented evidence of eligibility.
