Silvan Safari Lodge is seeking a passionate and experienced Head Chef to lead their culinary team. As the Head Chef, you will have the opportunity to showcase your creativity, expertise, and dedication to delivering exquisite dining experiences that complement the natural beauty of our surroundings. Responsibilities:
  • Oversee all aspects of the lodge's culinary operations, including breakfast, lunch, dinner, high tea, and any additional catering requirements.
  • Create innovative and refined menus that align with the lodge's upscale image and cater to the diverse tastes and dietary preferences of our guests.
  • Ensure the highest standards of food quality, presentation, and service are consistently maintained.
  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team, fostering a positive and collaborative work environment.
  • Collaborate with other departments to enhance the overall guest experience through exceptional culinary offerings.
Qualifications and Experience:
  • Proven experience as a Head Chef in a 5-star lodge or similar high-end hospitality setting.
  • Culinary qualifications from a reputable institution.
  • Extensive knowledge of international and contemporary cuisine.
  • Strong leadership and organizational skills.
  • Exceptional attention to detail and creativity in menu planning.
  • Ability to adapt to changing guest preferences and dietary requirements.
  • Demonstrated experience in managing and training kitchen staff.
  • Familiarity with industry best practices for food safety and sanitation.
Additional Requirements:
  • Excellent communication skills to effectively liaise with kitchen staff, management, and other departments.
  • Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and dynamic environment.
  • A passion for creating memorable dining experiences.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed.
