Line Cook - Taco Reho

Job Description

Summary of Position: Line Cooks create the food that keep our fans coming back for more, and we want more of those hands on deck! As part of the Taco Reho culinary team, our Cooks are responsible for running the line and ensuring we're fully stocked and ready to meet business needs. If you have a passion for good food, good music, and good cooking, we want you in our lineup. Must be at least 18 years of age to be considered for this position.


Duties & Responsibilities:
  • Complete opening and closing checklists.
  • Prepares a variety of meats, seafood, poultry, vegetables and other food items for cooking in broilers, ovens, grills, fryers and a variety of other kitchen equipment.
  • Understands and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Maintains a clean and sanitary work station area including tables, shelves, walls, grills, broilers, fryers, pasta cookers, sauté burners, convection oven, flat top range and refrigeration equipment.
  • Attends all scheduled employee meetings and brings suggestions for improvement. 
  • Promptly reports equipment and food quality problems to the Kitchen Manager.
  • Inform Kitchen Manager immediately of product shortages.
  • Uses our Standard Recipe Card for preparing all products. Do not rely on the memory of yourself or other employees.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned by the Kitchen Manager or manager-on-duty. 
  • Assumes 100% responsibility for quality of products prepared.
  • Knows and complies consistently with our standard portion sizes, cooking methods, quality standards and kitchen rules, policies and procedures.
  • Handles, stores and rotates all products properly.
  • Be available to fill in as needed to ensure the smooth and efficient operation of the restaurant as directed by the restaurant manager or immediate supervisor
  • Live the brand and be a brand ambassador; make decisions in the best interest of the restaurant every time
Qualifications:
  • 3-5+ years of hospitality experience preferred
  • Must be at least 18 years of age and possess a valid driver’s license with a clean driving record
  • Hospitality-driven mindset with a passion for providing exceptional guest experience
  • Strong interpersonal communication skills; MacGyver-like problem-solving abilities and organizational skills
