Job Summary

In addition to Line Cook duties, the Lead Line Cook will also be responsible for:

  • Maintain a clean and orderly catering kitchen by washing dishes, sanitizing surfaces, taking out trash etc.
  • Maintain a clean catering kitchen walk-in.
  • Perform consistent temperature checks of walk in.
  • Follow the prep list created by chefs to plan duties for all the prep cooks and make sure they are done.
  • Label and stock all ingredients on dry storage so they can be organized and easily accessible.
  • Ensure all food and other items are stored properly.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation guidelines.
  • Notifies managers of changes and/or updates needed to improve processes.
  • Ensures waste is kept to a minimum.
  • Notifies management of any potential issues (product, pests, etc.).
  • May be assigned additional duties as necessary.
