Role Overview
We’re looking for a star player to work closely with the cooking partner, guide and train them, develop new meals, and ensure general customer satisfaction with the food.
Main Responsibilities
- Ensure that cooking partner follows all the recipes and guidelines and that final product sent to customers matches the expectations
- Work closely with the cooking partner to support them in daily operations and ensure that the meals are cooked, portioned well ahead of dispatch time
- Assist in developing and scaling new recipes while ensuring that the flavor and quality standards are maintained.
- Modify recipes & create new ones, documenting them in conjunction with the R&D team
- Working closely with the R&D team in formulating recipes & creating trendy and high-quality food
- Train the kitchen team to prepare new recipes, guide & lead them.
- Resourcefully solve any issues that arise and seize control of any problematic situation
- Comply with and enforce sanitation regulations and safety standards. Maintain & document records.
- Maintain a positive and professional approach with coworkers
- To assign responsibilities to subordinates and to check their performance periodically
- To work on training team members in an effective manner to ensure efficiency.
- Must be proficient with technology, using Rational ovens, Blast Chillers, freezers & modern cooking equipment & techniques.
- Working closely with the Operations & Supply chain team, suggest, and act as a facilitator for the R&D team.
- Daily monitor of customer’s feedback, identifying problems and providing tangible solutions.
Ideal Candidate
Qualifications
- Must have had previous experience as a Sous Chef
- Must have 8 years of experience within the hospitality and catering industry, preferably in Volume operations.
- Must be a proficient communicator in English
- Previous experience in a food manufacturing facility is a plus
- Obsessed with customer’s feedback and satisfaction
Knowledge & Competency
- Has had team-leading experiences and would be able to train the kitchen team
- Outstanding communication and leadership skills
- Up-to-date with culinary trends and optimized kitchen processes
- Knowledge of various cooking methods, ingredients, and procedures.
- Create and maintain an efficient, hygienic, and positive working environment
- Display good work ethic, resourcefulness, and organization
- Must be able to work under pressure and manage time accordingly
- Ensure quality control and efficient workflow
- Strong time-management skills
- Ability to spot and resolve problems efficiently
- Capable of delegating & managing multiple tasks
- Communication and leadership skills
- Working knowledge of various computer software programs (MS Office, restaurant management software, POS, MMS )
