We are seeking an energetic and team oriented Cook to join our team at Emerald Heights, a 5 star retirement community in Redmond, WA!! We sit on 38 acres of BEAUTUFUL property and run and operate a dynamic upscale restaurant (5 star). We have tremendous amount of opportunity for motivated employees. As a cook you will help plan, prepare, and cook food items to ensure the highest quality service and experience for our residents. Schedule: Wednesday - Sunday - 1pm - 930pm 

Pay: $21-$24
 

We offer:
100% paid medical, dental and vision, employer paid life insurance and AD&D for employees working 30+ hours/week (Option to buy-up if desired). Eligibility begins the first of the month following 30 days of employment. Employees are able to enroll in our company’s 403(B) plan (Eligibility on 403b – 20+ hours per week) – We match 50 cents for every dollar saved up to 10% of your annual salary. Matching begins the first of the quarter following 1 year of employment. Full-time employees are eligible to accrue up to 16 paid time off days, 6 paid holidays and 3 personal days. Pro-rated paid time off is available to part-time employees.

Primary Responsibilities:
  • Prepare and cook food items according to recipes, daily menus, and supervisor instructions.
  • Clean and inspect kitchen equipment, kitchen appliances, and work areas in order to ensure cleanliness and functional operation.
  • Operate food station, including performing station checklist, temperature log, counter meeting, and signage.
  • Requisition food supplies, kitchen equipment, and appliances, based on estimates of future needs.
Required Knowledge, Skills and Experience: 
  • Partial High School education required; High School Diploma/G.E.D. preferred.
  • Culinary knowledge.
  • Food Safety certified and strong sanitation habits.
  • Strong customer service abilities; actively looks for ways to assist customers and coworkers.
  • Ability to recognize when a problem has occurred and communicate it to management.
