Key Responsibilities:

  • Supervise line cooks' work to ensure timely task completion and adherence to quality standards.
  • Ensure that food is prepared according to designated recipes and meets quality standards.
  • Maintain sanitation requirements, including temperature control, storage procedures, product rotation, and food handling practices.
  • Control waste and manage portion sizes to optimize food costs.
  • Monitor food inventories and ensure appropriate levels are maintained.
  • Execute daily side work with enthusiasm and attention to detail.
  • Demonstrate flexibility by working within various kitchen stations, including fry, plancha, and expediter.
  • Assist in additional tasks and duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

  • A minimum of 5+ years of previous kitchen experience.
  • Bilingual in Spanish & English
  • 3+ years of experience in a lead or supervisory role.
  • Possession of a NYC Food Handlers Permit.
  • Strong understanding of kitchen operations, culinary techniques, and food safety standards.
  • Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced environment and maintain composure under pressure.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
  • Flexibility to work varying shifts, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
