From early-morning breakfasts to late-night dining, our kitchen keeps guests fueled through one of the busiest weeks of the year.   As our Temporary Sous Chef, you'll help lead the culinary team through high-volume service, ensuring every plate reflects the quality, consistency, and energy that define Hard Rock Hotel San Diego. If you're a hands-on leader who thrives under pressure and loves the excitement of a fast-paced kitchen, this is your moment to shine.   🎸 Your Mission Lead the kitchen team through the excitement of Comic-Con by delivering exceptional food quality, supporting daily culinary operations, and ensuring every guest enjoys an unforgettable dining experience.   🎤 What You'll Do ✅ Lead and support daily kitchen operations during high-volume breakfast, lunch, dinner, and late-night service. ✅ Work alongside the Executive Chef to execute menu items with consistency, speed, and exceptional presentation. ✅ Supervise and support line cooks, prep cooks, and stewards while fostering a positive, team-first environment. ✅ Ensure all food is prepared according to recipes, quality standards, and presentation guidelines. ✅ Maintain food safety, sanitation, and cleanliness standards in accordance with local health regulations. ✅ Monitor product quality, inventory levels, and proper food storage throughout each shift. ✅ Assist with ordering, inventory management, and minimizing food waste whenever possible. ✅ Collaborate with Front of House leadership to ensure seamless communication and guest satisfaction. ✅ Jump in wherever needed to support the team and keep service running smoothly during Comic-Con's busiest days.   💎 You're a Great Fit If You… ✨ Have 2+ years of culinary leadership experience in a high-volume restaurant, hotel, or upscale dining environment. ✨ Lead by example and enjoy mentoring and motivating kitchen teams. ✨ Thrive in fast-paced, high-energy kitchens where every second counts. ✨ Take pride in consistency, organization, and attention to detail. ✨ Have strong knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and kitchen operations. ✨ Are flexible and available to work extended hours, evenings, weekends, holidays, and throughout Comic-Con week.   🤘 Why Join Hard Rock Hotel San Diego?
