Position Overview

The Line Cook is responsible for preparing and executing menu items according to Jupiter Supper Club's culinary standards. This position plays a vital role in delivering a consistent, high-quality guest experience by maintaining station readiness, executing dishes efficiently during service, and supporting overall kitchen operations.

The ideal candidate is dependable, detail-oriented, thrives in a fast-paced environment, and is committed to maintaining high standards of quality, cleanliness, and teamwork. Bilingual (English/Spanish) candidates are strongly preferred.


Key Responsibilities


Service Execution


Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes, specifications, and presentation standards.

Maintain assigned station throughout service, ensuring organization, cleanliness, and readiness.

Execute tickets accurately and efficiently during high-volume service.

Communicate effectively with chefs and fellow team members to ensure smooth kitchen operations.

Follow proper portioning, plating, and timing standards.

Prep & Production


Complete daily prep lists accurately and efficiently.

Properly label, date, rotate, and store all products.

Maintain appropriate pars and notify leadership of low inventory items.

Assist with banquet, special event, and seasonal menu preparations as needed.

Minimize waste and practice proper product handling procedures.

Station Maintenance & Cleanliness


Keep workstations clean, organized, and stocked throughout the shift.

Follow all opening, service, and closing procedures.

Assist with kitchen cleaning projects and deep-cleaning tasks as assigned.

Ensure all equipment is cleaned and maintained properly.

Report equipment issues or maintenance concerns to kitchen leadership.

Teamwork & Professionalism


Work collaboratively with all members of the culinary team.

Maintain a positive attitude and professional demeanor in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications


1+ years of experience in a professional kitchen preferred.

Basic knowledge of cooking techniques, food safety, and kitchen operations.

Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.

Strong attention to detail and commitment to quality.

Ability to stand for extended periods and lift up to 50 pounds.

Bilingual in English and Spanish preferred.
